We’re already stockpiling food. We’ve got 60 weeks left, there’s no way we can fail this. Too easy… and now you’re here, wondering how to beat the Prologue in Frostpunk 2. You’re not alone. I didn’t get through on my first try, either.
As long as you’re methodical in your approach, however, you can beat the Prologue pretty easily. Here’s how I did it.
How to get through the Prologue mission in Frostpunk 2
The first thing you’re going to want to do is use your Frostbreaking wisely. For your very first Frostbreak, why not open up both oil wagons, like this…

Be pro-active with your Frostbreaking too. The next step is to break your way to the nearby Construction wagon. You’ll also want to open up a bit more room around the Dreadnought Wreck for two housing districts, at least — you’ll need twelve open spaces in total. Finally, you can start to break your way to the nearest food source.

Next, build an Extraction District on the first Oil wagon you’ve opened up while the other Frostbreaks complete. You can do this by clicking on Districts, Extraction District, and then selecting three tiles on and near the oil wagon.

The Frostbreaks should finish before your Extraction Districts completes, so go ahead and build two Housing Districts near the generator.

The moment your Extraction District finishes on the Oil Wagon, click on the Dreadnought Wreck and turn the generator on by using the toggle button.
With the last of your prefabs, which is a necessary material for construction, build an Extraction District over the Construction Wagon and wait for it to complete. As soon as it completes and you’re able, build a Food District over the Fertile Soil (or food source) you uncovered earlier.
After this, immediately start Frostbreaking towards the coast from the other side of the canyon, where a seal colony will be discovered. Build a Food District over the seal colony, and then Frostbreak towards your nearest materials deposit.

Build an Extraction District on the materials deposit, and then work towards opening up all of the food sources. You’ll also want to build a second Extraction District over the other Oil Wagon that you opened up earlier.
Now you’ll begin to stockpile food. As you open the other food sources and build Food Districts on them, also make sure that you have at least two Food Stockpile Hubs (I built three because I’m paranoid). This will ensure that you have enough capacity to secure the food needed.

Don’t forget this step! This is how I failed my first run, by not having enough storage space! Your priority here is to get the food districts up and running. When prompted, you can also open up another materials spot in order to complete the quest which will reward you with extra trust from the wanderers.
