Austin, TX (RestaurantNews.com) Cheba Hut is firing up a new shop in Easton Park on Nov. 21 at 7101 E William Cannon Dr., near Circuit of The Americas (COTA), the famous Austin raceway known for hosting championship racing events, action sports and live music. The shop will Tame the Munchies with signature “toasted” subs, munchies and an endless flow of Kool?Aid for Austin?area homies from 10 a.m. to midnight daily – a fresh stash right off the track. In addition to the brand’s diverse menu, the new shop will feature a laid?back bar and a custom mural by married Austin art duo Candy & FISH – who previously designed the murals for the area’s other two units – that pays tribute to the Austin airport, COTA and Cottonmouth Creek. Think of it as a smoke signal to the south side – a counterculture welcome that stays lit and looks dope. Baked?in details nod to where the Chebaverse and “America’s Weirdest City” collide.
Built for lunch breaks and late?night munchies, the space blends fast service, local beer and creative cocktails like the Hash Can and Buzzed Bong Water with a soundtrack that hits just right on a Lazy Sunday or any other day of the week. It is the third Austin?area shop for franchisee Joe DeMaioribus as Cheba Hut continues its Texas push with sixteen locations statewide – more ways to “Tame the Munchies” and get “Toasted” without losing the counterculture authenticity for which the brand is known.
