Hailing from Russia, beyerdynamic’s founder, Eugen Beyer, began making cinema loudspeakers and field acoustics. From its origin in 1924, the company was a pioneer and laid the groundwork for becoming one of the longest-standing manufacturers of headphones and microphones.

In 1937, beyerdynamic unveiled its first dynamic headphones, the DT 48 (“DT” stands for Dynamic Telephone). These headphones featured superior sound quality and higher sound levels than the initial modern headphones invented by Nathaniel Baldwin in 1910. Additionally, beyerdynamic achieved another milestone in 1939 with the release of its first professional studio dynamic microphone – the M 19. Many products launched then are still in production today, signifying beyerdynamic’s unwavering commitment to quality and tradition.
