Exciting new tech is always a buzz at CES 2024 in Las Vegas, but you know what’s even better? Discovering the genius behind the latest happenings in the tech world. Intel Fellow and graphics guru Tom Petersen is one such bright mind.
Our very own and irrepressible Adam Patrick Murray of PCWorld had the opportunity to chat with Petersen at the show. Together, they discussed the MSI Claw, a recently unveiled handheld gaming PC that rivals the Steam Deck. Featuring Intel’s fresh “Meteor Lake” Core Ultra processors, Petersen shared insights about the device.
And here’s the best part: Petersen’s interview wasn’t just limited to the MSI Claw. He delved into in-depth conversation, touching on topics such as Intel’s incredible desktop Arc graphics card, the rapid development of Arc graphics integrated into Meteor Lake mobile chips, and the advantages of the Core Ultra processors with their disaggregated design.
But it didn’t stop there. The interview continued with casual non-confirmed speculation about hyper-specific chips and graphics cards purpose-built for specific needs, information on next-gen Intel Arc “Battlemage” graphics cards, and more!
Petersen’s insight is always invaluable and this one is no exception. If you’re interested in learning more about the MSI’s handheld, Adam’s comparison of the Claw against the Steam Deck and Asus ROG Ally is definitely worth checking out.
