Audi is delighted to announce that Johannes Roscheck will be assuming the role of President of Audi China from April 1, 2024, taking over the central management of AUDI AG’s China operations from Jrgen Unser. This marks an exciting new chapter for Audi as it continues to expand its presence in China and drive forward its electrification strategy. Audi CEO Gernot Dllner commented, “Audi’s operations in China are crucial to the overall success of our company. Johannes Roscheck, currently Head of Corporate Controlling & Finance at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt, brings with him a wealth of international experience and expertise. With a background in mechanical engineering and a PhD in economics, he has over 25 years of experience in finance and production in the automotive sector. From 2017 to 2022, he served as CEO of Audi do Brasil, where he was instrumental in driving Audi’s operations in Brazil. His previous management positions within the Volkswagen Group have taken him to Hungary, the United States, and Germany, where he has consistently demonstrated his leadership abilities and passion for innovation.
Jrgen Unser, who has been managing Audis activities in China since January 2022, has played a crucial role in advancing Audi’s electrification strategy in China. Under his leadership, plans for the new production site of Audi FAW NEV Co. have been implemented, with the facility set to produce all-electric vehicles for the Chinese market from the end of 2024. Additionally, Audi in China has seen expansion in JV partnerships and the establishment of an Audi-branded charging infrastructure, all of which have contributed to the company’s future viability in the region.
