Unveiling the luxurious 2024 model of the Nautilus SUV, Lincoln, Ford’s luxury car division, presents a cutting-edge redesign. One of the most striking updates is the flat-top two-spoke steering wheel and the addition of a hybrid powertrain option. But the real showstopper is the revolutionary, oversized panoramic infotainment screen.
The panoramic display, combined with a smaller touchscreen in the center console, offers a customizable array of information for the driver. Vital data such as speedometer and fuel gauge is conveniently located behind the steering wheel, while supplementary details like tire pressure, weather, clock, and media are neatly organized on the right side of the screen.
But the entertainment doesn’t stop there, as the panoramic display takes things to the next level. When parked, drivers have access to gaming, video streaming apps, and soon video conferencing. The system was designed to be fully customizable and to be integrated into a broad range of vehicles, including future EVs. This feature addresses the need to keep EV drivers occupied during the longer charging times compared to traditional fueling.
Featuring the highest resolution display Ford and Lincoln have ever offered, this 48-inch-wide panoramic screen provides a digital experience unlike any other. Having seen it firsthand, we can confirm that it is nothing short of impressive.

Expanding the Driver’s Experience
The Nautilus’ digital information is at the driver’s fingertips in more ways than one. The new squircle-shaped steering wheel features matching d-pads to seamlessly navigate the controls, resembling gaming controllers.
Adding an extra splash of coolness, a real-time avatar, tailored to match the vehicle’s color and wheels, revolves in 3D on the touchscreen. To create this feature, Ford collaborated with Unreal Engine by Epic Games, creators of the popular game Fortnite.
But the gaming experience doesn’t end there! Ford has introduced a special edition of the Asphalt Nitro 2 game, starring an avatar of the Shelby GT350R muscle car. Gaming can be enjoyed when the vehicle is parked, using the touchscreen or a Bluetooth-capable controller. Additional features such as a Vivaldi freeware browser are accessible through a Bluetooth keyboard connection to the screen. Ford’s plans also include transitioning to Google Chrome and offering video conferencing apps, turning the vehicle into a mobile office. These video-focused applications are available only while the vehicle is parked.
It’s not just all fun and games, as video streaming of apps like YouTube is now also available with this new system.
