subsidiary has issued a voluntary recall of 88 cases of potato chips due to an undeclared milk contamination. This news has sent shockwaves through the snack industry.
Utz Quality Foods, headquartered in Hanover, Pa., made the announcement after discovering that about 1,200 single-serve bags of Utz Wavy Original Potato Chips were mistakenly flavored with seasoning instead of the plain version.
The company has warned that individuals with milk allergies or sensitivities need to be cautious as consumption of the contaminated product could lead to a harmful reaction.
The affected items were distributed exclusively in New York state, with a focus on New York City.
