Patriots Eyeing Ben McAdoo for Coaching Position

The Patriots are currently in discussions to bring on Ben McAdoo as an assistant coach, according to Albert Breer of SI.com. If hired, McAdoo would serve in a role similar to an assistant head coach under Jerod Mayo, focusing on supporting offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt.

Having previously held the position of head coach for the New York Giants for almost two seasons, McAdoo had a record of 13-15 before being let go with four games remaining in the 2017 season.

At 46 years old, McAdoo most recently served as the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers in 2022. Prior to that, he was the offensive coordinator for the Giants from 2014 to 2015. Throughout his 18-year coaching career, McAdoo has worked with various positions such as the offensive line, tight ends, and quarterbacks across seven different teams including the Saints, 49ers, Packers, Jaguars, Cowboys, and Panthers.

The potential addition of McAdoo to the Patriots coaching staff adds a wealth of experience and expertise to the team, further strengthening their offensive strategies and player development. This move signifies the Patriots’ commitment to enhancing their coaching staff and pursuing new avenues for success in the upcoming season.
