The Sports Facilities Companies (SFC) has recently been chosen as the operational partner for Crown Sports Center, a privately-owned sports facility spanning 125,000 square feet in Fruitland, Maryland. The center has undergone renovations, expanding its amenities to include additional turf fields, pickleball courts, and batting cages alongside existing indoor turf fields, volleyball and basketball courts, and a family entertainment center.
Cole Lacy, Vice President of SFC, expressed excitement about the partnership with Crown Sports Center, emphasizing their commitment to providing top-notch sports facility management in the Eastern Shore region. The collaboration aims to create a space that caters not only to athletes but also fosters community engagement through sports and recreation.
SFC is a renowned consultancy specializing in the planning, development, and operation of sports, recreation, entertainment, and event facilities nationwide. As part of the SF Network, SFC manages a vast portfolio of youth and amateur sports venues across the United States, including well-known facilities in Gatlinburg, Branson, Panama City Beach, and Sandusky. The company oversees more than 50 properties in 20 states.
In conjunction with the new partnership, Crown Sports Center has appointed Cody Revel as the General Manager. With a background in sports performance training and a commitment to athlete development, Revel is poised to lead the center in serving the local community effectively. Crown Sports Center stands out for its focus on community services like before and after school programs and summer camps, catering to over 300 children weekly.
The primary focus for the operational team is to integrate SFC’s values and culture within the staff at Crown Sports Center, positioning the facility as a hub of support and encouragement in the community. Looking ahead, the goal is to establish the center as the premier indoor performance and training facility in the region, fostering talent and promoting community well-being.
