Meta Revamps Creator Bonus Program to Reward Top Talent

Meta is updating its Creator Bonus program‍ to better support emerging creative talent.

One major change is the removal ‌of the monthly earning limit. Previously, creators could only earn up to $30,000 per month ⁤through the program, but now, there is no cap on monthly payouts, allowing creators to earn unlimited amounts.

This adjustment is aimed at incentivizing top talent to continue creating and sharing⁤ content on⁣ Meta’s platforms. With ⁤Reels‌ driving increased engagement on Facebook and Instagram, Meta is keen on‍ ensuring a steady flow of⁤ content to keep users engaged.

All eligible creators will have access to this update⁢ by‍ March, expanding the program’s reach to include Asian‍ creators who were ⁢previously excluded.

Meta has extended invites to creators in various countries such as Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, the Philippines,‌ Thailand, and Indonesia, in addition to the existing‌ countries like the US, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, India, and Mexico. More countries are expected⁣ to be added soon.

However, participation in the program is still by invitation only, with Meta focusing on ⁢post reach as the primary‍ performance metric for potential candidates.

In another development, creators can now incorporate Reels ⁤ads into their‌ content to increase monetization opportunities. Meta is also shifting its video payout ⁤model from ad-based to performance-based to better reward high-quality content on its platform.

These changes underscore Meta’s commitment to supporting creators and offering them ways to monetize their content. While Meta may still lag⁤ behind YouTube⁢ in this ⁢aspect, the emphasis on Reels incentives is⁢ a strategic move to compete with ⁣platforms like TikTok.

Ultimately, Meta’s program ⁣aims to reward top creators who engage a large audience on its‌ platforms, positioning itself as a lucrative option for content creators seeking to monetize their⁢ work.
