Embracing a well-known tradition in Los Angeles, celebrities frequent a popular burger joint on Oscars night, according to Jimmy Kimmel.
Preparing to host the Academy Awards for the fourth time on March 10, Kimmel shared with People magazine that after the show, the tradition is to head to In-N-Out.
One of the reasons Kimmel believes this has become a post-award show tradition is because many people in Los Angeles have a visit to In-N-Out on their to-do list, especially those in town for the Oscars.
He further explained that hunger plays a role in this tradition as well, making In-N-Out the go-to spot on award show nights.
Contrary to other fast-food chains, In-N-Out holds a special place in the hearts of celebrities post-awards ceremonies.
One recent example of this tradition in action was Paul Giamatti, seen enjoying a meal at an In-N-Out in Westwood after winning a Golden Globe. Accompanied by his girlfriend and industry representatives, Giamatti indulged in burgers, fries, and soda at the iconic location.
Established in 1948, In-N-Out Burger has gained popularity as a beloved fast-food chain, primarily located in California.
The post-awards show visit to In-N-Out was even featured in an Oscars promo leading up to the 2024 ceremony. Ryan Gosling joked about the trend of grabbing In-N-Out before the Oscars, to which Kimmel corrected that it’s more of a tradition to indulge after winning an Oscar.
Despite Gosling’s playful response, the In-N-Out trend after award shows remains a staple for many attendees.
