TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- season 2 premiered on January 8, 2024, and a notable new cast member has joined the production. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, known for his role as Inosuke Hashibira in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is now a part of the series portraying a character named Root, a powerful dragon with golden magic akin to the goddess. The second season of TSUKIMICHI -Moonlit Fantasy- sees director Shinji Ishihira returning, known for his work on Fairy Tail and Log Horizon. The music is once again composed by Yasuharu Takanashi, renowned for his contributions to series like Fairy Tail and Log Horizon, with series composition handled by Kenta Ihara from Saga of Tanya the Evil.
NTV presents the following synopsis for the show:
Makoto Misumi, an ordinary high school student plucked from his world to become a hero in another, finds himself scorned by the goddess and abandoned at the world’s edge. As he navigates this fantastical realm, encountering dragons, orcs, dwarves, and more, Makoto’s unique origins grant him unparalleled magical abilities. Tasked with improving this world despite rejection from its denizens and deities, Makoto faces thrilling challenges and adventures.
