Women’s History Month Initiatives by Calling All Crows
Honoring Women’s History Month this March, Calling All Crows, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing music fans for feminist causes, has introduced three new projects to advance justice and equality. These initiatives coincide with their ongoing participation at selected shows on Mitski’s U.S. tour, where they offer support and resources for their Here For The Music program, combat sexual violence, and promote safety at events nationwide.
Empowering Women of African Descent with RSP
A standout activity in their Women’s History Month agenda is a live stream event on March 19th in partnership with the Resilient Sisterhood Project (RSP). The RSP focuses on educating and empowering women of African descent on reproductive health issues, addressing disparities with a focus on cultural and social justice. The live stream, set for 1 PM EST, will be broadcast on Calling All Crows’ social media platforms, featuring valuable discussions on these critical topics.
Expressing their enthusiasm for the collaboration, the Resilient Sisterhood Project highlighted their joint commitment to justice and equality. They thanked Calling All Crows for backing their mission and stressed the significance of educating and empowering women of African descent on reproductive health and rights.
Exciting 16th Annual Benefit Weekend
Following this, Calling All Crows will host their 16th Annual Benefit Weekend with a sold-out performance by Chadwick Stokes of Dispatch and The Pintos at Somerville Theatre on March 22nd. Stokes will showcase songs from his upcoming rock opera, 1972, promising an evening of riveting music in support of a cause.
In-Person Advocacy Event
Continuing the momentum on March 23rd, an in-person event will be held at The Sinclair in Boston, MA, to introduce a new service project with Reproductive Equity Now. This initiative aims to enhance access to reproductive care and shed light on reproductive health issues, including essential training sessions on abortion advocacy.
