Logan Sargeant has had a tough go of it in his first season in F1. But despite his challenges, he’s shown flashes of promise and Williams is standing behind him for another season.
Williams’ decision to keep Sargeant is backed by the belief that he has the potential to perform at the same level as his highly regarded teammate, Alex Albon. His seventh place finish in qualifying at Las Vegas is evidence of what he’s capable of when everything comes together.
Technical Director, James Vowles, sees the progress Sargeant has made over the course of the season. According to him, Sargeant has matured and is starting to show what he’s truly capable of.
While Sargeant’s rookie season had its ups and downs, Williams is confident that he will continue to grow and improve in the 2024 campaign. With the experience under his belt, adjustments to his approach could yield better results next season.
