Daniel Cormier, once a fierce rival of Jon Jones, has come to his defense in a recent interview. Cormier believes that Jones should not be stripped of the UFC heavyweight gold and thinks that Tom Aspinall will be elevated at some point. He also mentioned that Jones has gone through some of the nastiest rivalries over the course of 15 years and knows how to handle such situations. UFC CEO Dana White still insists that the fight to book next is Jon Jones vs. Stipe Miocic once the heavyweight champion is cleared to return to action.
