Exciting news as Justin Jefferson returned to the football field this week, but it was short-lived.
During the Vikings game against the Raiders, Dobbs found Jefferson over the middle on third down, only to be met with a bone-jarring hit from Raiders safety Marcus Epps.

Jefferson was taken to the hospital for evaluation and did not return to the game after the brutal hit. Dobbs’ throw didn’t help matters as it left Jefferson vulnerable to such a hit. The Vikings had eagerly awaited Jefferson’s return after his two-month absence due to a hamstring injury.
While it’s uncertain how long the Vikings will be without Jefferson, there is some hope as the head coach announced that Jefferson had been released from the hospital and would be traveling back with the team.
Dobbs being benched didn’t stop the Vikings from securing a 3-0 win against the Raiders, improving their record to 7-6 and bringing them within two games of the division-leading Detroit.
