Margot Robbie: Did She Keep Her “Barbie” Clothes?
Barbie style is Margot Robbie’s thing.
When she landed the iconic role in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, Margot seemed born to play the part. She’s been embracing the beloved toy’s style before it was even trendy.
Margot has stepped up her game ahead of the release of the film on July 21. For instance, the 33-year-old stunned wearing a vibrant pink and white polka dot halter dress for a film press junket in June – a modern take on the doll’s ’90s look.
Ryan Gosling, who co-stars as Ken, even joined in on the fun, sporting a Greta Gerwig Barbie tee and pink bomber jacket. Margot has been channeling her inner Malibu Barbie look and has even gone for an OG 1950s Barbie outfit. And her Chanel-style outfit suggested Holiday Barbie vibes. She’s all about Barbie fashion, as she put it to Vogue, “I’m all Barbie from here until Barbie.”
Even before taking on the role of the Mattel doll, Margot’s fashion looked like it could’ve been plucked out of Barbie’s closet. At the 2019 London premiere of Mary Queen of Scots, Margot looked like a holiday version of the toy, wearing a burst of polka dots and a vibrant red rose. That same year, she channeled ’70s Barbie vibes for the Berlin premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
