Exciting News: Meiji Gekken: 1874 Anime Set for January 14 Debut

Meiji Gekken: 1874 is an original anime that’s on the way to Crunchyroll and Japanese TV, and timing has been locked in for the latter. The series will kick off its broadcast on the BS Shochiku Tokyu channel starting on January 14, 2024. Check out a new trailer while we wait.
Jin Tamamura (The Girl in Twilight) is directing the anime, with Tsukasa Sakurai and Naoki Tozuka providing the original draft and Tozuka overseeing scripts. Shigeru Nishigori is on character designs and Shuji Katayama is composing music for the Tsumugi Akita Animation Lab production.
As for the cast, Yuichi Nakamura voices Shizuma Origasa, Satoshi Mikami voices Kyoshiro Shuragami, Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Sumie Kanomata/Hinazuru, Lynn voices Senri Kuroki, Kazuhiro Yamaji voices Buhei Hiramatsu and Katsuhisa Houki voices Ryuzo Moriya.
Meiji Gekken was first revealed as part of the slate of Crunchyroll Originals back in February 2020.
