Exciting News! With the latest update, Siri can now access Health app data and display users’ health metrics, all while ensuring better privacy of health data and efficient execution of requests.
The most recent iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2, and watchOS 10.2 update has brought significant improvements to Siri. Apple’s voice assistant can now access the data in the Health app and log user’s health metrics.
According to Apple’s official blog post, Siri can now answer over 20 queries related to the Health app data, including queries related to activity tracking, heart rate, blood oxygen, sleep, and more. Additionally, Siri can also log health data for users, such as weight, blood sugar levels, blood pressure, medications, and other metrics.
These new Siri features are currently available on Apple Watch Series 9 (curr. US$449 on Amazon), Apple Watch Ultra 2, iPhone, and iPad1. With the new on-device processing, Siri requests are executed without users’ health data leaving the device, providing an added layer of privacy.
In addition to this, the highly-anticipated iOS 17.2 update has also introduced the new Journal app, support for spatial video recording, and other exciting updates.
