Alan Ruck Is Being Dragged to Court Over Pizza Shop Truck Crash

Succession star Alan Ruck may have dodged legal issues with the police from his pizza shop truck crash, but he’s now facing a lawsuit from the other driver involved in the collision.

Horacio Vela, the driver of one of the vehicles Ruck hit prior to driving through a building, is taking Ruck to court. Vela’s lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, states that he was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Hollywood Blvd and La Brea Ave on Halloween night. Ruck, behind the wheel of his 2023 Rivian truck, was directly behind Vela’s Hyundai. Suddenly, Ruck rear-ended Vela, pushing him into oncoming traffic and causing another collision. Ruck’s vehicle went on to hit Raffalo’s pizza, causing significant damage.

Vela claims he suffered “severe injuries and damages” as a result of the crash and was immediately taken to the hospital by ambulance for medical evaluation. The aftermath of the crash, according to Vela, left him with “property damage, costs of past and future medical care, pain and suffering, mental anguish, emotional distress, and other consequential damages.”

Video from the crash showed Ruck’s Rivian accelerating without warning while stopped at a red light. Despite this, the police determined that Ruck was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol and have categorized the incident as an accident.

We got Ruck’s response to the crash, but he didn’t say much. We reached out to Ruck’s team regarding the lawsuit, and so far, there has been no response.
