Although it’s still early days, a new major tournament has just been announced to kick off the game’s competitive scene with a bang: the Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Regional Majors.
These exciting tournaments are set to take place globally, with events lined up for January. This is the perfect way to kick off the first year of competitive play for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. With the game showing great potential in the fighting game esports scene, we can’t wait to see more tournaments on the horizon. So, what can we expect from the Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Regional Majors?

Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Regional Majors
The GBVR Regional Majors have taken existing events and elevated them to three individual tournaments. Japan, France, and the US each get their own major, providing an early opportunity to test the game’s competitive prowess. While there’s no additional cash prize, competitors have the chance to unlock a unique character color just for participating! The first major, the Cygames Cup Special, will be held in Tokyo on January 20-21. The second, the Kayane Cup, takes place in Paris on January 21. Finally, Frosty Faustings XVI will round out the series on the weekend of January 25-28 in Chicago.
As we eagerly await Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising’s representation at major events, these regional tournaments are a fantastic way to keep the excitement going until then. Don’t miss out – Read more about Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Regional Majors here or click below for the full scoop!
