Tom Aspinall, the UFC interim heavyweight champion, is not happy with his current situation. Despite being ranked #1 in the world, he feels left out as he watches Stipe Miocic getting the chance to fight for the undisputed heavyweight title.
In response to being told by Miocic to exercise patience, Aspinall fired back with insightful “fun facts” about the former champ’s inactivity and his own accomplishments. Miocic suffered a second-round knockout loss to Francis Ngannou back in March 2021 and has been relatively inactive since. On the other hand, Aspinall has had 7 UFC fights, including 4 wins against top 10 ranked opponents, and won the interim title on just 2 weeks’ notice.
After Miocic preached patience, Aspinall simply asked “Why wait?”. It’s clear that the British fighter is eager to showcase his talents in a title unification bout.
