Sophie Turner literally called 2023 the “Year of the Girlies” in the middle of her highly publicized divorce from Joe Jonas.
The Game of Thrones alum filed a lawsuit last September claiming that Jonas was wrongfully withholding their children’s passports and essentially abducting them following their splitting up. According to the suit, the actress discovered Jonas was filing for divorce through the media, an assertion his rep disputed, arguing that she was aware it was going to happen.
In a joint statement released last October, the former couple shared their intentions to co-parent and kept to their word, reaching a mutual custody agreement for their daughters Willa and DMJ shortly thereafter. The lawsuit was officially dismissed following this peaceful resolution, marking the end to a long legal battle between the two celebrities.
