The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling to say the least, but reports suggest head coach Darvin Ham is not at risk of losing his job anytime soon.
Per The Athletic’s Jovan Buha, Ham’s job is considered “safe through the rest of the season” thanks to the support of governor Jeanie Buss and general manager Rob Pelinka.
While there were concerns about Ham’s future with the Lakers during a rough patch, the team has turned things around recently with a 5-4 record in their past nine games, including wins over the Clippers and Thunder.
Ham has led the Lakers to the Western Conference Finals in his first season, and hopes to keep the team afloat heading into the back half of the schedule.
Currently ninth in the Western Conference standings, the Lakers will look to go above .500 again when they face the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center on Saturday night.
