Lance Bass shared that he was diagnosed with diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic and is now focused on managing his health condition.
In an interview with People magazine, the NSYNC member emphasized the importance of being mindful of his diet and medication regimen. He expressed the challenges of learning what to eat, when to eat, and when to take insulin, all of which have been difficult for him recently.
Aside from dietary changes, Bass has also made exercise a priority in handling his diabetes. He highlighted the significance of working out to maintain his overall health, especially as he gets older. Despite his busy schedule, he has set up a home gym where he can squeeze in short workout sessions.
Back in November 2023, Bass first mentioned his diabetes diagnosis in an interview with Eating Well. He spoke about the importance of finding a diet that suits his body and emphasized the benefits of staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
In a social media post from June 2023, Bass openly discussed his condition on Instagram, showing his commitment to raising awareness about living with diabetes.
It was revealed nearly two years ago that Bass was also diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in 2017. Initially mistaking the pain in his shoulders and knees for normal dancer aches, he eventually sought medical attention for his condition.
Recently, NSYNC has made a comeback with various projects, including a notable appearance at the VMAs and releasing new songs like “Better Place” and “Paradise.” Bass continues to be active in the music scene despite his health challenges.
