Conor McGregor calls out UFC for stalling his return: “I’m waiting for a decision

Conor McGregor, a former two-weight UFC world champion, is eager to make a comeback and fight in June. His last fight was back in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier, where he unfortunately suffered a leg injury that led to his loss and a long hiatus from the Octagon. Despite this setback, McGregor is now ready to step back into the spotlight and compete once again.

In a recent development, McGregor was embroiled in a dispute with USADA regarding his return to the UFC. The Irish fighter claimed that he had no issues with undergoing drug testing but alleged that USADA was pressured by the UFC to ease their stringent testing protocols. Despite these controversies, USADA has since left the scene, but McGregor’s return remains uncertain.

McGregor initially expressed his desire to fight Michael Chandler on June 29th, following International Fight Week. However, UFC president Dana White later refuted this claim and revealed that the bout may take place in the fall instead. This timeline doesn’t sit well with McGregor, who took to Instagram to express his frustration with the lack of clarity surrounding his return date.

The former UFC champion emphasized the need for a concrete decision on his next fight, irrespective of the timing. McGregor remains hopeful for a June return, but the lack of action from the UFC is dampening his enthusiasm. He stressed the importance of eliminating distractions and focusing on his comeback to the Octagon.

In a series of Instagram posts, McGregor outlined his proposed fight schedule, including potential matchups with Michael Chandler in June, Nate Diaz in September, and Manny Pacquiao in December. The Irish fighter is determined to make a strong comeback and make a mark in the UFC once again.
