Xavier Worthy, a standout wide receiver from Texas, made headlines at the Scouting Combine with his record-breaking 4.21-second 40-yard dash, showcasing his exceptional speed. In an interview with USA Today, Worthy expressed his desire to emulate the impact of Tyreek Hill in the Kansas City Chiefs’ offense, following Hill’s move to Miami.
Worthy admires the way Patrick Mahomes utilized Hill during their time together in Kansas City and envisions himself filling that role seamlessly. He envisions the improvisational style of Mahomes and the Chiefs as a perfect fit for his skill set, aiming to provide a similar dynamic element to their offensive scheme.
While Hill currently holds the title of the fastest player in the NFL, Worthy believes he has what it takes to claim that spot in the future. Despite his exceptional speed, Worthy remains humble, acknowledging that he would not stand a chance against legendary sprinter Usain Bolt, who clocked a remarkable 4.22 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
When asked about the possibility of beating Bolt in a sprint, Worthy respectfully declined, recognizing the incomparable talent and speed that Bolt possesses. However, Worthy remains confident in his abilities to outrun defensive backs in the NFL, potentially making waves in Kansas City if given the opportunity.
