Donald Trump spoke with reporters and officials who had gathered in the Oval Office Monday to discuss the administration’s new efforts regarding maternal healthcare, but he also took a minute to have some fun at his opponents’ expense.
Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), the mental condition that causes the afflicted to automatically and rabidly oppose everything the president says or does — regardless of whether it’s actually good for the country — is very real, he joked. (No, TDS is not a scientifically recognized syndrome; it’s a funny way to describe unhinged leftists who always look like they’re going to burst a vein with their hatred of Orange Man Bad).
Trump said that the illness can be so serious that his detractors can’t even see straight: “They’ve got serious Trump Derangement, which actually is a disease. I’m hearing it is actually a disease. It’s an honor,” he quipped.

He also proposed a novel solution: he would play 4-D chess and chase policies that he didn’t want, so the knee-jerk Dems would automatically oppose them:
“But I have a new way out. I’m going to propose something the opposite of what I want, and we will have massive amounts of legislation… I’m going the opposite. That whatever is bad, I’m going to… Go for it, and they’ll approve what’s good, finally.”
The White House was on it, and quickly released a recommended prescription for those who have come down with a case of the dangerous syndrome:

Have we ever seen an administration that uses humor to such great effect? (Yes, actually, we have: former President Ronald Reagan also displayed an equally sharp wit, albeit completely different. I would at least argue that Trump is the funniest commander-in-chief since the Gipper.)

As if on cue, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) took to the Senate floor Monday to drone on about how evil the president is for wanting to secure the White House:
