“I want to still give them more of what I have,” said NBA legend Allen Iverson, expressing his wish to play a bigger role in the Philadelphia 76ers organization. In a recent interview with Rachel Nichols on Headliners, Iverson shared his love for Philadelphia and his desire to contribute in a mentoring capacity, similar to other former star players in the league.
In the interview, Iverson emphasized that he was not interested in a coaching role, but longed for a position within the organization that would utilize his basketball expertise. He reminisced about his successful 12 seasons with the 76ers, where he achieved eight all-star nominations and took the team to the NBA finals in 2000-01. Although his first tenure ended on a complicated note, Iverson’s attachment to the team and the city remains strong.
Now, Iverson is eager to give back to the organization that helped shape his career and vividly expresses his willingness to contribute in any way possible. His dedication and passion for the team’s success are unwavering.
