Alstom’s latest achievement in Thailand, the inauguration of the Pink Line, represents a significant milestone in the company’s commitment to modern and efficient mobility solutions. The new 34.5 km monorail system is set to revolutionize travel in Bangkok, connecting Khae Rai to Min Buri with 30 stations and cutting travel time by over 50%.
The Pink Line is not just a means of transportation, it’s a solution to congestion and accessibility in the bustling city. Designed to seamlessly link with five other rail lines, this driverless monorail system is capable of operating at speeds of up to 80 km/h and accommodating over 470,000 passengers daily.
Alstom is proud to have supported our customer NBM and the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) in extending Bangkok’s urban transit network to new city areas. We are committed to innovating for more connected and efficient urban transportation, and the launch of the Pink Line is a testament to that commitment.
With the Pink Line now in trial passenger service until 30 December 2023, we are excited to see how this innovative addition will transform Bangkok’s transportation landscape. Don’t miss the opportunity to experience the future of urban transit.
