A viral TikTok video shows the emotional reunion between two stolen goats and their best friends, who had been waiting for months for them to return to the farm, and internet users can’t stop crying at the heart-warming encounter.
The clip, shared on Saturday under the username @kewlittlepigsfarm, shows the poster taking her goats back to the farm after someone had stolen them during a night break-in a couple of months earlier.
As soon as the other goats at the farm noticed them coming back, they immediately started circling around their lost siblings, headbutting them, jumping and skipping around them, struggling to contain their excitement.
“[Two] months after our goats were stolen in the night.The day has finally come for them all to reunite,” reads layover text in the clip. A caption says: “Nope we’re not crying. SO grateful to have them all back home and together.”
The poster, Olivia Mikhail, a farmer from Amersham in the United Kingdom, told Newsweek that the two goats in the clip, Blitzen and Rose, are doing really well now that they’re back to their old life.
However, two more goats were stolen from the farm, Kew Little Pigs, during the burglary, Comet and Sunday. These two goats were returned at a later date, although according to the poster, they weren’t in a very good condition.
“So we had to build them up again both physically and mentally. But this week they were overjoyed to be reunited with their friends,” she said.
The first pair was found thanks to members of the public recognizing them and alerting Mikhail, who immediately drove out there to get them. The last two goats were returned by another local farmer, after he found them abandoned in his field.
Mikhail said that the culprit hasn’t been found, although an investigation is ongoing.
After the burglary, the poster launched a GoFundMe to help pay the costs of updating her CCTV system at the farm, to avoid another incident like this, linked to her TikTok bio.
Goats are highly social animals that thrive on companionship and interaction, and they are able to form very meaningful bonds with other animals and humans.
