Billy Joel Added to 2024 Grammy Awards Performer Lineup
Exciting news for music lovers! The Piano Man himself, Billy Joel, has been added to the performer lineup for the 66th Grammy Awards. The show is set to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on February 4, with a stellar lineup of artists including Billie Eilish, Burna Boy, Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, and Travis Scott. Stay tuned for more announcements as additional performers are expected to be revealed soon.
The announcement comes on the heels of 74-year-old Billy Joel revealing his plans to release ”Turn the Lights Back On,” his first new single in nearly 20 years. After announcing the new music on social media, fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the track on February 1.
Joel, who has been mostly retired from songwriting since his last album, River of Dreams, in 1993, has continued to perform live over the last three decades, including a legendary residency at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He will play his 100th show in the residency and his 150th overall at the venue on July 25th.
This year’s Grammy nominations are filled with superstar talent, with SZA leading the pack with nine nominations, followed by Phoebe Bridgers and Victoria Monét with seven nods. The 2024 Grammy Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah for the fourth consecutive year, and will broadcast live on the CBS television network, and live and on demand on Paramount+ on February 4 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
