Are Underwater reefs always made of corals? Unusual! They are intertwined with unique foundations.
Artificial reefs, not just residues of corals, serve as hot spots for large predatory fish. They can also serve as stepping stones for reef fish expanding their range northward with warming water temperatures and as rest stops for sharks.
Go through a detailed study to learn more about the strategic plans and designs and the ecological services these reefs provide!
These reefs have been found to cover a total of about 7 square miles or 19 square kilometers of US seafloor–an area equivalent to 3,600 football fields
So stop stereotyping.
Just like land, these resources should be used wisely.
By placing stuff in designated areas, we can have many individual reefs over decades. And at last, we should stop judging things by their appearances
