Dr. Haq has held various important roles over the course of his career, including serving as Chief Mental Health at BVA Health Care System, medical director of telehealth services, and clinical director for the post-traumatic stress disorder and mental health intensive case management teams. In addition to his work within the Department of Veterans Affairs, he also founded the Alabama Chapter of APPNA in 2007 to expand access to services for individuals in need.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Haq has been actively involved in academia, serving as a clinical professor in the department of psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is also the founder of the Red Crescent Clinic of Alabama, a free clinic established in 2012 to provide healthcare services to underserved populations.

Dr. Haq earned his medical degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Punjab, and completed his residency in psychiatry at the University of Alabama, UAB School of Medicine.
