Get ready, Pixel Watch fans! Google has just confirmed that its original Pixel Watch will soon be getting some exciting new features from the Pixel Watch 2. Among these upgrades, the original Pixel Watch will soon be able to mirror Bedtime Mode and DND modes from a paired smartphone, along with several other improvements.
Google has been working behind the scenes to bring these new features to the original Pixel Watch, which made its debut earlier this year. In October, the company announced that the first smartwatch would be receiving Wear OS 4 with a reduced feature set. However, DND and Bedtime Mode mirroring were conspicuously absent when the Pixel Watch’s first OS upgrade arrived a few weeks later.
Now, as part of the December 2023 Pixel Feature Drop, Google has bundled these features along with a few others. The update will also include Smart Unlock, a method for unlocking a Pixel 5a or newer with your smartwatch. Plus, Adventure and Analog Arcs have been added to the Pixel Watch, along with updated arc and bulb complication styles.
It is still unclear when these new features will be rolled out, but according to Google, they should be available soon. For more details, check out Google’s blog post here.
