God placed within man an awakening, a spiritual drive, and a determination to find its Maker, to get understanding, and to find God. Joseph Sinkfield, The Voice of the Sword.
The Guadalajara International Book Fair, also known as Feria Internaconal del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL), is many things. It’s a massive publishing convention, a large book showcase as well as a big cultural event. It is also the intersection where books from the Americas, particularly the Spanish-speaking world, may find like-minded readers from international visitors and vice-versa.
This is certainly true for Christian author Joseph Sinkfield, who shares a faith with many across all borders. His book, The Voice of the Sword, was exhibited at the event by the self-publishing and book marketing company ReadersMagnet.
Sinkfield has been involved in a formal church organization for twelve years along with six years volunteering in prison ministry. For a long time, he has wanted to publish his knowledge and interpretation of the Bible. Many people he has encountered, both in and out of church, often attribute many things to God that actually make it difficult to find Him. The same goes for how they understand salvation history and the nature of man as a spiritual being.
The Bible is full of many more mysteries than the average Christian would admit. Through his book The Voice of the Sword, he hopes to help others test if their conclusions about God and the Bible are sound. It challenges a number of common misconceptions about God by showing how they do not align consistently with the fullness of Scripture. Like many believers, Sinkfield believes the Word is the foundation and every follower of Christ must build upon it correctly or else they’ll miss Him entirely.
