The stunning image captured by the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope showcases a spectacular array of spiral galaxies. At first glance, you might assume that these galaxies are closely situated, but as the saying goes, looks can be deceiving.

Here’s the fascinating twist: while NGC 1356 and LEDA 95415 appear to be in close proximity, they are actually separated by a staggering distance of 300 million light-years. Conversely, NGC 1356 and IC 1947 appear to be much further apart, but they are in reality much closer neighbors in three-dimensional space.

This captivating image serves as a vivid reminder of the complexities and vastness of our universe. It challenges our perceptions and invites us to explore the depths of space beyond what meets the eye.
