Meet Hershey — Sweet, Strong and Searching for a Family
Hershey might look like a handsome linebacker, but underneath that sturdy frame is a sweet, easygoing teddy bear who just wants a cozy home and some good company.
About 2 years old, Hershey has been with us since January, patiently waiting for his forever family. He’s reliably housebroken, easy to leash up, and loves being outside — though he’s not one for long hikes. A stroll, some fresh air, and plenty of back scratches (his favorite!) are more his style.
Like many dogs, Hershey can get a bit reactive when passing other dogs in the kennel area. Once outside, his calmer, affectionate personality comes through. He may be dog selective, so careful introductions are recommended.
Hershey enjoys the simple things — lounging in the sun, easy walks, treats, and attention from his people. He’s been dreaming about his perfect family, and after all this time, he’s really ready to meet them.
Come meet Hershey — or any of our amazing adoptable dogs — at our special Adopt a Dog event this Saturday, June 28th, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Fayette County Animal Shelter, 1131 Highway 74 S, Peachtree City, GA 30269.
We’ll have free hot dogs and plenty of wagging tails! Rain date is Sunday, June 29th, same time and place.
