Talk to Minibeard
Speak to the mini wizard and he’ll drop you a hint to tilt the book (and the block).
Tilt the book
By tilting the book (and the block), a key is unveiled.
Use this key to unlock the gate on the right page. Once open, navigate the metal spikes and defeat the trolls. Strike the word ‘metal’ in the sentence, “The metal spikes were quite a bother” and pick it up.
Head over to the sentence, “There was a big wooden block” and swap the word “wooden’ with ‘metal’ to turn the wooden block into metal (obviously). Then, tilt the book again to break open the fractured wall (which is actually an entrance to a cave).
In the cave, take the word ‘glowing’ from the sentence, “Here were some glowing mushrooms” and place it in the sentence, “Here was a big … block”. This will make the block glow. Tilt the book again to light up the cave with the glowing block.
In the cave, you will find a key hidden behind some bushes and a door. The key unlocks the door, revealing the sentence, “Cheese crumbs dotted the ground”. Strike the word ‘cheese’, pick it up and place it in the sentence, “Here was a big … block”.
The block will turn into cheese, with the ravenous rodent leaping forward to pull it into its hole.
This is how, my dear friends, The Plucky Squire — Jot — and his rockstar friend Thrash get past the giant rat in Trarrg Mountain.
