The Samsung Health app is introducing an exciting new feature: a medication tracking tool that will soon be available in the US. This handy feature allows you to keep tabs on your medicines, access important details about each drug, and get helpful tips on how to take them. Not only that, but it also includes reminders to ensure you never miss a dose of your prescription medications.
Samsung has announced the launch of this innovative medication tracking tool for its Health app, providing users with a comprehensive way to track both prescription and over-the-counter medicines. This new feature complements existing tools for exercise and sleep monitoring, as well as irregular heart rhythm detection, to give you a more holistic view of your health and wellness.
The new medications feature allows you to set up customizable reminders for taking your next dose. You can also prioritize your medicines based on importance, tailoring the strength of the reminders according to your specific needs. And if you have a Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 or a similar smartwatch, you can even receive medication reminders on your wearable device.
In addition to reminders, the Samsung Health app now provides valuable information about your medication, such as common side effects, adverse reactions, and potential interactions with other drugs and foods. For example, did you know that you should not take Simvastatin, a cholesterol-lowering drug, with grapefruit juice? The app also allows you to add a physical description of the pill, the dosage taken, and the time of intake, making it easier to stay organized and on track.
This fantastic new medication tracking feature will be included in an upcoming Samsung Health app update in the US. Stay tuned for its release in other countries!
