Charles Leclerc Refrains from Making Predictions for the Upcoming Season
Charles Leclerc is hesitant to speculate on the outcomes of the upcoming season, particularly regarding the rivalry between Ferrari and Red Bull. The Scuderia driver explains that the lack of a complete race simulation by his competitors hinders a clearer understanding of the situation.
Leclerc pointed out, “Red Bull is one of the few teams that have not conducted a full race simulation during testing, which usually helps us gauge our position accurately. It’s very challenging to assess where they stand. We have done one, so we know where we stand.”
“Some teams have completed races, giving us some insight into their position, but Red Bull has not. Being in contention for more victories would definitely be a step forward and lead to a positive season,” he added.
Looking ahead to the beginning of the year, Leclerc confirms that the goal is to maintain the momentum from the latter part of the previous season. “We need to carry on from the second half of last year, even though the season overall was not positive as we started well below our expectations at the beginning of 2023,” he stated.
“The latter part of the year was much more encouraging, as the team and everyone in the paddock felt that we were on an upward trajectory and heading towards better things with a clear vision of where we wanted to go and how to get there,” Leclerc emphasized.
“And that’s precisely how we should approach the season, continue in this manner, with a clear vision, and make significant progress every time we introduce something new to the car, as we did in the latter part of last year.
