Lenny Kravitz is being recognized for his legacy and impact with the Music Icon Award at the upcoming People’s Choice Awards. The 59-year-old artist will be honored at the February 18 event, which will be streamed live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
The “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” singer will be presented with the award and is also set to perform at the show. Viewers can catch all the action via Peacock, NBC, or E!. The People’s Choice Awards will be hosted by actor Simu Liu and produced by Den of Thieves, with Jesse Ignjatovic, Evan Prager, and Barb Bialkowski taking on executive production duties.
Jen Neal, executive vice president of live events and specials at NBC Entertainment, commended Kravitz’s musical talent, stating, “Lenny’s musical gift is truly unmatched. We’re thrilled to honor him as this year’s Music Icon and look forward to seeing what he brings to the stage.”

Kravitz recently caught attention with a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song – Motion Picture for “Road To Freedom,” a track he wrote, produced, and performed for the Netflix film Rustin. The song was also nominated for a Critics Choice Award for Best Song. Additionally, he released his single “TK421” back in October 2023 and appeared on Peggy Gou’s “I Believe In Love” the following month.
