To get started with modifying your weapons, keep in mind that not all weapons can be modded. You need to fulfill specific conditions to begin modifying your guns. Defeating one of the five island bosses and obtaining their medallion is the key.
With the medallion in hand, access the vault to find a mod bench where you can upgrade your weapons in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.

In addition to boss lairs, you can find mod benches at various locations on the map. Use the map above to locate each bench in Chapter 5 Season 1 of the game.
To modify your weapons, approach one of these benches and interact with it. Based on the weapon you have, you can swap out mods. Remember, the mods directly affect the weapon’s efficiency. Make sure you have enough Gold Bars, as each mod costs 75 Gold Bars.
For example, a magnifying scope is ineffective on a shotgun at long range, so choose your mods wisely. Additionally, be prepared to spend 75 Gold Bars for each mod you apply to your weapon.
