NASCAR has made some changes in its lineup due to weather. The Clash at the Coliseum and Batalla en El Cosiseo have been moved from Sunday to Saturday to avoid the impending storm. This unusual schedule shift was enforced in anticipation of a potentially dangerous storm set to hit Southern California on Sunday. Never have we seen races move up a day, but extreme weather conditions have forced this rare decision. In a statement released by NASCAR, the organization thanked the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and Los Angeles Public Safety for their partnership and support to ensure a safe experience. Weather concerns have prompted a call for fans to make their decisions taking safety into consideration. And to accommodate the sudden change, admission to Saturday’s event will be free, with limited services. For those who purchased tickets to Sunday’s races, don’t worry, you will be contacted. The Busch Light Clash will be televised on FS1. NBC’s original Sunday schedule for the Busch Light Clash now remains uncertain.
