Get ready for an exciting space RPG adventure with Exodus, a game that promises multiple endings based on the choices you make. The masterminds behind this upcoming game are industry veterans James Ohlen, Chad Robertson, and Chris King, known for their work on classic RPGs. Ohlen in particular is the lead designer behind BioWare classics like Baldur’s Gate, KOTOR, and Jade Empire.
Exodus’ announcement trailer hinted at a Mass Effect vibe, and now we know that the game will offer multiple endings just like the iconic trilogy. “The ending is something that we’re putting a lot of work into,” says Ohlen in the team’s first Q&A video. “Time dilation, and how it impacts the choices you make, is the core of the game. It’s what Exodus is all about.”
One of the key elements of the game’s narrative is the concept of time dilation, similar to what we saw in Interstellar. Our choices will have a long-lasting impact, affecting the game world for decades and even centuries to come.
But it’s not all about the story – the team also discussed third-person combat, fantasy elements, the Centauri Cluster setting, and of course, the option for players to engage in alien romance. While there’s no official release date yet, Exodus is set to launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
