NBC News chief political analyst Chuck Todd was critical of Republican presidential candidate former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) on “Meet the Press”, stating that she was “not campaigning to win.”
Anchor Kristen Welker welcomed Todd back and joined her colleague to discuss what to watch for in the final 48 hours leading up to Tuesday night.
Todd expressed his disappointment in Haley’s decision to cancel debates if Donald Trump was present, stating that she missed out on potential opportunities to make her case to undeclared voters. He emphasized that this was her last chance to create conditions where Trump is vulnerable.
Todd concluded by expressing his shock at Haley not taking advantage of every available opportunity to campaign, suggesting that she seems to be campaigning to protect something rather than to win.
