Online Gaming Ban for New 3DS and Wii U Users: What You Need to Know

Online play for 3DS and Wii U is officially coming to an end in “early April” 2024. New users can no longer go online in any games on these platforms according to a post on Pretendo.

Anyone trying to play online with a Nintendo account will receive ‘Error Code 106-0303’ on the Wii U and ‘Error Code 006-0303’ on 3DS. These errors are due to new accounts “no longer being synchronized” with servers.

Super Mario Maker players have also been encountering ‘Error Code 106-0502’ since “early December”. Existing users can still connect to the game’s servers, but the future of online play for 3DS and Wii U looks uncertain.
