Paul Felder is not convinced that Paddy Pimblett would find success against any of the ranked lightweights in the UFC.

Pimblett’s most recent win was a one-sided decision over Tony Ferguson at UFC 296, bringing his UFC record to 5-0. However, he was unable to finish Ferguson and started to gas in the third round.

Despite the impressive win, Felder doesn’t think Pimblett is ready for a top-15 opponent. He believes that Pimblett should have been able to put away the struggling Ferguson and thinks he will struggle against more formidable competition.

When discussing this on UFC Rundown, Felder said, “I will start with this. Of course, he can. We know that it’s MMA, anything can happen. “But if we we are gonna sit here and make bets, and if I had to predict, no, I really don’t think so. I mean, he struggled to get a Tony out of there who looked the worst he’s ever looked in his career… I really don’t think so.”

Felder’s co-host, Michael Chiesa, shared the same sentiment and doesn’t believe that Pimblett would beat any ranked opponents at this time.

Although Felder and Chiesa have their doubts, the decision of who Paddy Pimblett will fight next in the UFC remains uncertain. The UFC may choose to continue building Pimblett’s experience before putting him up against a ranked rival.
