Paddy Pimblett is pumped to shed some blood in the cage this weekend.
This Saturday at UFC 296 in Las Vegas, Pimblett steps back into the cage after a year to face off against Tony Ferguson. ‘El Cucuy’ enters the fight on a six-fight losing streak, which he attributes to losing focus after a 12-fight winning streak.
Ferguson revealed to the media this week that he intends to use his slicing elbows to cause some damage, and Pimblett is unfazed by the prospect.
“You’re losing it, man. Grow up,” Pimblett exclaimed to Ferguson at the UFC 296 press conference on Thursday night. “You’re acting like a 14-year-old. When I’m standing over your knocked out body on Saturday night, just like Michael Chandler, you’ll know who the boss is. Cut me open like you said you would, because I’ll be pounding your unconscious skull, you little coward.”
He continued, “I can’t wait and I can’t believe you’re actually wearing a suit. Every other day you look like an 8-year-old dressing himself for the first time. You look ridiculous.
“Bring out the blades then, you said you’d cut your last six opponents and you couldn’t do anything because you’re worthless.”
