Exciting news: opposing teams are reportedly keeping a close eye on New York Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley in anticipation of a possible trade, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic.
Quickley is all set for restricted free agency next summer after failing to reach an agreement with the team on a contract extension prior to the start of the 2023-24 season.
According to Katz, the Knicks could include Quickley and fellow shooting guard Quentin Grimes in a trade package along with veteran Evan Fournier to bring in a player with a salary a little over $20 million.
Although extension talks between Quickley and the Knicks ultimately stalled, this comes as no surprise given his significant contributions to the team in recent years and his impressive performance in the 2022-23 season. He has developed into a key player for the team and his numbers reflect his improved form. Quickley’s improved strength on his drives, combined with his exceptional floater, have greatly enhanced his efficiency inside the arc, making him a player to watch out for. There’s no denying it – Quickley’s three-point shooting ability, defensive skills, and his adaptability to both on and off the ball play make him a valuable addition to any team. Plus, he’s only 23 years old, so this could be a great opportunity for teams to acquire him. Find out more about the latest trade rumors on Bleacher Report.
